Kristin Brockmeyer-Stubbs,

Kristin Brockmeyer-Stubbs is an occupational therapist (OT) who joined OCHO for the 2012 brigade and who now considers Atima and its community her summer home/family. The primary goal of OT is to enable people to participate in activities of everyday life. She is excited to partner with the Honduran teachers and the OCHO team to continue to eliminate barriers towards independence, to promote participation and engagement in childhood occupations and routines, and to advocate for the unique needs of children and families with special needs. She helps to identify, collect, fit and modify the therapy equipment donated each year.

Alicia (Ali) Allen
Secretaria
Ali Allen is a Modern Language teacher, Service Learning Coordinator and Associate Director for Global Programs at Gilman School. She completed her Master of Arts in Spanish at Middlebury College in 2022. In 2016, she served as an interpreter for OCHO, then joined six medical brigades.

Fatima Salem,

Fatima Salem is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech and Language Pathologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (KKI/CASSI). She grew up speaking Spanish with her family who is Cuban-American, and has been able to use her bilingual skills professionally by serving bilingual families with children with Autism both through diagnostic evaluations and ongoing treatment. She has been involved with OCHO since 2015, and serves on the special needs team working to support and train the functional therapists working in various health centers across Honduras.

Jocelyn Y. Diaz, CPA
Secretaria
Jocelyn Diaz joined the OCHO Board of Directors in July 2025 as Treasurer. She is a CPA with 8 years of experience in public accounting at Gross Mendelsohn and Associates. She specializes in and is passionate about nonprofit organizations. She was driven to OCHO, as the Organization's mission touches so close to her home country, El Salvador.

Howard Hauptman, MD
Single mom to an amazing 14 year old with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1996) from Salisbury State University and University of Maryland Nurse Practitioner in 2004. In 2005 began working in Rheumatology with Dr. Howard Hauptmann, now working in dermatology clinical education for Novartis. Chose Rheumatology due to personal passion for psoriatic disease. Was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in 1997 and have suffered with psoriasis since early childhood. Enjoys maintaining healthy active lifestyle which includes anything outdoors, hiking, kayaking, camping and gardening. First got involved with Honduras medical mission trips in 2009 and went to Atima three years in a row.
Veselina Mineva
Veselina Mineva graduated from Towson University, double majoring in International Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Italian. She joined OCHO as a Social Media intern during her senior year at TU and following graduation, was employed as Social Media Administrator. Amongst many things, her duties entail facilitating communication between OCHO members and followers and keeping our social media platforms and website updated.

Bo Brand
Bo Brand is a therapeutic assistant in a hospital in Baltimore and is an aspiring occupational therapist. She has been a participant in the OCHO Medical Brigade since 2013. She has been the administrative assistant for OCHO since January 2020. As administrative assistant she is involved in preparing the brigade for the annual trip and facilitating communication with OCHO members.

Cristina Sáenz de Tejada es profesora en un colegio de educación secundaria en la ciudad de Baltimore y se unió a OCHO en el año 2007 para trabajar como traductora e intérprete. Desde entonces ha ocupado distintos roles en la organización ya sea como directora del equipo médico, coordinadora de voluntarios o asistente en la coordinación logística de la brigada anual. Entre sus responsabilidades se encuentra el reclutar jóvenes voluntarios, servir como principal punto de contacto con nuestros aliados en Honduras y seguir con su fervor por desarrollar alianzas interculturales que beneficien tanto a Honduras como a nuestra organización.
Rebecca Younglove Marsden, MSN, APRN, ANP-C
Howard is one of the original team members and a veteran of 15 consecutive trips, where he functioned in many capacities. He helped in organizing pre-trip planning and arranged for vital equipment to be loaned for use in Atima. While in Atima, he treated internal medicine and rheumatology patients, and was responsible for the pharmacy. He remains committed to the work that continues to be done by OCHO, for the benefit of the people of Honduras.
